Pemex detailed the results derived from its national content obligations established in its Assignment Titles and Exploration and Extraction Contracts, in accordance with the provisions issued by the Ministry of Economy regarding national content.

For 2022, the amount destined to Pemex’s contracts with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) was 25,774 million pesos.

The Presidency of the Republic refers that 54% of these procurements were made in open competition. That is, 13,998 million pesos.

The commitment of the Pemex administration to regional economic reactivation was reflected in the promotion of contracts with local SMEs. The states of Tabasco, Veracruz and Campeche accounted for 33% of these contracts, equivalent to 8,624 million pesos.

In 2022, 1,714 contracting procedures were managed in the Pemex Electronic Contracting System (Siscep), distributed by contracting modalities in 950 open tenders, 25 restricted invitations, 396 direct awards, 106 specific contracts derived from referential agreements and 237 specific contracts derived from preparatory contracts.

From January to June 2023, the average national production of crude oil, condensates and natural gas without nitrogen, from Assignations and Contracts for Exploration and Extraction, was 1,659,600 barrels per day, 289,200 barrels per day and 4,329.5 million cubic feet per day, respectively.

Pemex’s participation in national production, through 263 assignments with hydrocarbon extraction and seven contracts for exploration and extraction (six with a partner and one without a partner), was 1,577,100 barrels per day of crude oil, 289,000 barrels per day of condensate and 4,172.1 million cubic feet per day of natural gas on average from January to June 2023.

Mexican crude oil exports decreased in volume by 6.4% in 2022, from 1,018,000 barrels per day in 2021 to 953,000 barrels per day in 2022.

During 2022, Pemex produced 833,500 barrels per day of petroleum products and sold 1,163,300 barrels of refined products per day in the domestic market.

Total exports of crude oil, natural gas, petroleum products, and petrochemical products averaged US$24.5 billion per year between 2018 and 2021 and were US$36.3 billion in 2022.
