Negociações do Marcelo Ebrard com Jamieson Greer

The negotiations of Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, with Jamieson Greer, will begin in their face-to-face format as of January 20.

Ebrard said that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s team is prevented from meeting with officials from other countries in the period before he begins his term.

“They cannot meet with foreign governments until (Trump) takes office on January 20,” he commented this Thursday in a radio interview in Mexico City, with Joaquin López Dóriga, on Radio Fórmula.

Ebrard, on behalf of Mexico, and Greer, on behalf of the United States, participated in the negotiating teams of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (USMCA).

The day before, Ebrard considered it positive that he is now negotiating again with Greer, both because they both know the content of the USMCA and because they mutually identify their negotiating styles.
