Mobility services company Uber Technologies highlighted 23 partnerships with companies such as Waymo, OXXO, Turo and AEON.
Specifically, Uber is a technology company that offers ridesharing, meal delivery and freight logistics services.
Uber’s partnerships
First, the company expanded its multi-year strategic alliance with Waymo to bring autonomous transportation services to Austin and Atlanta, only with Uber.
In addition, the company announced five new partnerships for autonomous services in Mobility and Delivery with Cruise, Coco, Wayve, WeRide and Avride.
Separately, Uber again entered into an alliance with a local cab partner in Denmark.
In India, the company expanded its alliance with Moto, the country’s largest third-party logistics provider, to six new cities. This opened up new supply channels.
Uber also launched its first cab integration in Latin America with Brazil‘s largest autonomous transportation services app, which provides access to 70,000 drivers across the country.
Joint ventures
Uber reported a long-term partnership with Turo, the world’s leading peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace. This collaboration will allow Uber users to rent vehicles directly from the app, accessing Turo’s wide selection in key markets globally.
In addition, Uber introduced new partnerships through Uber Direct. These include a multi-year partnership with Darden Restaurants, which will begin with Olive Garden. Also announced were partnership expansions with Vroom Delivery and Checkmate, as well as a new collaboration with PetSmart.
OXXO
Regionally, Uber expanded its network of merchants in the United States and Canada. It now includes supermarkets such as H Mart and Food City. It also added non-food retailers such as Spirit Halloween, Michaels, JD Sports and Pet Supplies Plus.
Internationally, the company introduced new services. In the United Kingdom, it launched online grocery deliveries available 24 hours a day with the Co-op supermarket chain. It also established a strategic alliance with the Oxxo convenience chain in Chile.
Finally, in Japan, Uber introduced courier pick and pack as a new revenue model. This service was launched in partnership with AEON, one of the country’s leading retailers. These initiatives reinforce its growth in key markets.
