The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) reported that the customs inspections carried out in less than three hours reached 84.4% of the total, 1.0 percentage point lower than that observed in the same period of 2019.

On the other hand, in January-September 2020, the amount collected for self-declaration of taxes from passengers at airports and borders totaled 762.3 million pesos.

The SHCP added that said amount was lower by 287.6 million pesos compared to that obtained in the same period of the previous year, due to a lower passenger traffic due to the contingency derived from the Covid-19 pandemic.
