FedEx has expanded e-commerce delivery options for retailers with FedEx Extra Hours.

It is a service that allows participating retailers to fulfill e-commerce orders into the evening and receive late pickups from FedEx Express, with local next-day delivery and two-day shipping to any address in the continental United States.

FedEx Extra Hours is available to select customers, offering retailers the flexibility to extend overnight order cut-off times. This extension can range from five to eight hours, with some retailers able to extend it as late as midnight, depending on their order fulfillment process.

Additionally, FedEx OnSite, the company’s retail convenience network, partners with third-party retailers. These retailers are responsible for receiving and holding packages for FedEx customers, making package retrieval easier.

The FedEx OnSite network has significantly expanded. It now includes nearly 17,000 stores from Walgreens, Dollar General, and Albertsons, along with around 2,000 FedEx Office locations.

Moreover, the FedEx OnSite network offers more than just delivery and return services. It is strategically positioned to act as a «buy online, pick up in store» network. This is especially beneficial for small and mid-sized merchants who lack physical store locations.
