Italika increased its motorcycle sales 14% indirectly benefited by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the nine-month period ending September 30, 2020, Italika’s motorcycle sales increased year-on-year, due to people’s fear of using public transport, their lack of means to buy a car, and the use of of motorcycles for the delivery of goods and services.
In the motorcycle business, since the Chinese New Year coincided with the lockdown in China, Italika experienced delays in supplying some components for certain motorcycle models for only five weeks.
Since then, the supply and assembly of motorcycles has returned to normal levels.
