TC Energy Corporation closed 2019 with investments in 2,503 km (1,554 miles) of regulated gas pipelines in Mexico, 833 km more compared to the previous year.
The increase is considerable in its annual comparison, but low compared to the pipeline network that the company operates in the other two countries in North America.
TC Energy Corporation has investments in 40,658 km (25,264 miles) of natural gas pipelines in Canada, primarily regulated by the Canadian Energy Regulator (CER). In addition, the company has an investment in the developing Coastal GasLink pipeline, which is regulated by B.C. Oil and Gas Commission (OGC).
Regarding the United States, its investments include 50,089 km (31,124 miles) of regulated pipelines, 535 Bcf of regulated natural gas and other assets storage facilities, directly owned and through the company’s investment in TC PipeLines, LP.

Lastly, the Energy and Storage segment consists mainly of the company’s investments in 10 power generation facilities and 118 Bcf from unregulated natural gas storage facilities.
These assets are located in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick and include investment in the Portlands Energy Center, as well as the Halton Hills and Napanee natural gas power plants.
