Regional Production
According to the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA), North America has led the regionalization process long before this trend became widespread at the international level. This achievement has been possible thanks to the USMCA and NAFTA. As a result, Mexico enjoys a key competitive advantage in the current global context. Moreover, this strategic position favors the relocation of global value chains to the region.
On the other hand, the automotive industry is undergoing a historic transformation. Now, the transition to zero-emission vehicles is setting the course for the sector.
From AMIA’s perspective, this transition, known as electromobility, represents a great opportunity. It not only boosts the economic development of countries, but also positions the region as a powerhouse in the production of vehicles with advanced technologies.
