The White House reported Thursday that China’s cumulative tariff now totals 145%. This figure includes an additional 20% tariff imposed over fentanyl-related concerns.

A day earlier, China announced a new retaliatory tariff. It will apply a cumulative rate of 84% to all imports of products originating in the United States.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning to Mexico. This Thursday, he threatened to impose sanctions and tariffs for defaulting on water supplies to Texas.

According to Trump, Mexico owes Texas 1.3 million acre-feet of water. This obligation is set forth in the 1944 Water Treaty. However, he claimed that Mexico is violating that commitment. This is what he published in Truth Social.
