Traxion’s fleet decreased in its freight mobility segment, from 2,331 units in 2022 to 2,240 in 2023.

The company operates one of the largest trucking fleets in Mexico.

In contrast, Traxión’s number of semi-trailers increased from 3,192 in 2022 to 3,202 in 2023.

Traxion’s fleet

Traxión stands out for having one of the most modern fleets in the industry. In 2023, the average age of its fleet was 4.8 years, the same as in 2022. In comparison, the national average at the end of 2023 was 20.4 years, according to data from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT).

The company provides its services through subsidiaries such as MyM, Egoba, Grupo SID, AFN and El Bisonte. Traxión maintains a high level of centralization among its subsidiaries. Among other things, they share terminals, maintenance shops and a centralized supply system. This strategy enables the company to improve efficiency, maintain flexibility, offer competitive prices and increase profitability.

Freight transportation accounted for 31.0% of Traxión’s total revenues in 2023. During that year, the company generated operating revenues of Ps. 24.807 billion, an increase of 22.1% year-over-year. In addition, its consolidated net income increased 26.2% to US$638.7 million.

Transportation Services 

Traxión’s freight mobility segment has a diverse fleet. It includes 3,202 semi-trailers (dry and refrigerated boxes), 294 dollies and flatbeds, as well as 211 hoppers and tankers. 

The company mainly serves leading customers in the sector, offering a variety of services such as:

Regions of operation 

Traxión operates in the most active and densely populated regions of Mexico, such as Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. In addition, it has a presence in fast-growing areas such as El Bajío and border areas with the United States, such as Nuevo Laredo and Tijuana.

In February 2023, the company opened its first 3PL logistics facility in Del Rio, Texas, marking its first step toward successful expansion in the United States.
